At Heritage the Ministry to Children and their Family exists to partner with parents in developing the next generation to delight in God and declare His Glory. For this purpose everything that we do is held up to the light of this vision. We are committed to praying for, and equipping you; understanding that you are ultimately your child’s faith-trainer. We are equally committed to working diligently to provide the best care for your children while here at Heritage, which includes ensuring that our staff and volunteers have passed background checks and received MinistrySafe Training.

“…we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders He has done.”
Psalm 78:4

Sunday School  9:00 a.m.

Nursery (Birth through 2 years)
We begin introducing biblical truths to these little ones through frequent use and illustration. Those serving in the nursery are encouraged to pray for the Lord’s work in their hearts, while they are in our care.

Three years through 4th grade
Generations of Grace is a biblically based and God-centered Sunday School curriculum. While every class covers the same passage of Scripture, the lessons are taught based on age levels. In the weekly Worship Guide, you will find a parent overview of what your children studied in Sunday School. This resource is meant to help you discuss the lessons as a family and prepare for the following week’s Sunday School lesson.

Sunday Worship 10:30 a.m.

Nursery and Pre-K
Our nursery classes are introduced to worship through interactive props, music, and repetition. The preschoolers have a Bible lesson and activities.

Kindergarten and Elementary
In an attempt to encourage families to participate in corporate worship together the kindergarten and elementary age children attend the Worship service with their parents. This provides a weekly reminder  that we, as parents, have been charged to be the primary disciplers of our children. It also provides a wonderful context for children to learn songs of the faith, witness baptisms and the Lord’s Supper, and to observe their parents studying the Word and singing the truths of Scripture with other believers.

AWANA

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) is an excellent ministry that focuses on memorizing verses and learning essential Bible Truths. Class schedule is divided into three key activities; Verse Time, Lesson Time, and Game Time. Our prayer is that every child comes to KNOW, LOVE, and SERVE the Lord Jesus Christ.

AWANA is available during the school year, for children 3 years (as of September 1) through 4th grade. Childcare for nursery through 2 years old is provided for AWANA volunteers and those attending a Bible Study.

The Bridge (5th-6th grade)
Sun. 9 a.m. &
Wed. 6:30 p.m.

To help bridge the gap between elementary and teenage years, The Bridge class aims to equip children with study skills and habits to grow in knowing, understanding, and applying God’s Word. They are introduced to biblical essentials for living out their faith at home, in the church and throughout the world. As an introduction to missions, they are given opportunities to serve the church body throughout the year.

The Bridge meets on Sundays all during the year and on Wednesdays for the duration of the school year only.
