Introduction to Discovering the Author’s Intent (Derrick Pemberton) Room 412, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. October 4, 18, November 1 & 8 ~ Covered in this new class: 1) God Speaks—Exploring the different ways God speaks to us today and how He uniquely and authoritatively speaks through good Bible study. 2) Discovering the Message—Using your Bible and good tools to discover God’s intended message. 3) Applying the Message—Arriving at applications consistent with God’s intended message. 4)Types of study, Types of Writing—Hearing God speak by applying good Bible study methods to the different types of biblical writings through different types of studies.
