The following are the areas we are serving and supporting others in bringing the Gospel to all people:
“…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Believing that the Lord’s commission in Acts 1:8 continues through His witnesses today, Heritage Baptist Church is engaged in ministries as close as the room next to you, all the way to continents and people groups spread around the globe. The following represents some of those ministries. There is indeed a place of service and prayer for us all!

Domestic Ministries

Hope Is Alive Ministry exists to radically change the lives of  those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, and those who love them (hopeisalive.net).

Prison Ministry  Word-of-mouth discipling ministry to 400+ inmates weekly, nationwide, through 88 simple Bible studies sent individually, returned, and graded with notes of encouragement and prayer. Prison Ministry Team of volunteers meets every Tuesday morning at Heritage, 9am -12pm.

Quilting Ministry  Providing quilts for women and children in a battered women’s shelter as an expression of God’s personal love for them. We also provide an attractive bag to be used as a purse or book bag with a New Testament, a Gospel tract, and other reading materials, with the hope that these women will  come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. More than 2000 women a year come through this shelter in OKC – the need is great!

Whiz Kids  Whiz Kids is a faith-based, one-on-one tutoring/mentoring program. We meet 3:00-5:00 on Thursdays during the school year. We have a unique opportunity to change our city, one child at a time. Click HERE for more information or contact joyfischer@me.com.

Capital Baptist Association   www.cbaokc.net   A ministry to enable OKC churches to effectively discover their purpose and design their ministries to influence their communities and to be on mission with the Gospel of Christ in our world. CBA sponsors the Police Chaplaincy, Grace Rescue Mission, Baptist Mission Center, Disaster Relief, VBS training, Young Musicians Camp, and Ethics & Religious Liberty Committee.

First Stone Ministries   www.firststone.org   A ministry to lead the sexually and relationally broken into a liberating relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, that emphasizes discipleship and restoration.

Hope Pregnancy Center   www.hopepregnancycenter.us   A caring and confidential center offering support and guidance during an unplanned pregnancy. We provide at no cost: pregnancy tests, pregnancy verification, information on options, community referrals, and confidential services.

OU BCM  www.oubcm.com Ministry to develop multiplying disciples to reach the nations.

Dave & Karen Robinson (Cru Cities)  Cru’s mission is to help take the whole Gospel to the whole city with the whole Church. Our vision is to help transform cities by getting the Gospel and Gospel-centered/mission oriented communities to the scope of the city in such a way that the Gospel continues to spread, deeds of love and mercy multiply and disciples of Jesus are developed (cru.org).

Global Missions

Mike & Diana Johnson (People International) Michael and Diana serve and mentor church planters among unreached people groups through training, counseling and encouragement.

John & Eleanor Mahon (Grace Community International, Russia, Africa)  John and Eleanor serve through GCI to promote the Gospel worldwide through evangelism, disciplemaking, and equipping heads of households to be spiritual leaders in their families.

Mark Dittmer (Harvest Evangelistic Association, Mexico)
   Mark serves with HEA in Chiapas, Mexico as their Technical/Logistical Director where he trains evangelists to use and take care of the equipment for film evangelism, not only in Mexico but other countries such as Argentina and the Philippines. He also works with Kingdom Kids Christmas outreach, hosting summer volunteer teams, and the construction of the Mission Training Center.

Greg & Michele McClanahan (Harvest Evangelistic Association, Mexico)   Greg and Michele are dedicated to reaching the lost wherever they are for the previous 18 years through frontline evangelistic missions. They have trained, equipped, and currently support 39 full time native Missionary Evangelists on 4 continents. They also provide prison ministry, VBS, church planting, and Kingdom Kids Christmas in Mexico.

Brandon & Jennifer (Dynamic Church Planting International–DCPI) Evangelizing the world lies at the heart of the ministry of DCPI. Equipping leaders to plant five million dynamic churches to reach the world for Christ is more than a mission statement–it is our vision from the Lord. Planting healthy, dynamic and sustainable churches is one of the most effective ways to fulfill the Great Commission.

Todd & Pamala Price (Pioneers, Hungary)   Preparing to serve as a family to the Roma people in Europe. Pray for affordable housing in Budapest, additional financial support, language acquisition, smooth transition.

Melissa (secure)   Serving in a community health ministry in the Islands of SE Asia among an unreached people group, we travel to villages meeting health needs. We are also sharing God’s life-changing truth with a vision to see an indigenous church planting movement. Melissa welcomes prayer as she engages in language and culture with the hope of joining God in seeing a deep long-term impact take place.

Orhan & Gulserin   Serving the Agape fellowship in Central Asia. Pray for continued boldness to live out and proclaim Christ and for many to respond to the gospel. Pray for discipleship to increase.
